After several times of computer crashes it was now up and running again. I have setup her to my liking, all the antivirus is in place, firewall is up, all my favorites software installed.
I learned a couple of things from this experienced, (actually i learned it before, but my ignorances supersede my concsiousness). First you need to BACKUP all your data, things in bits and bytes that are precious to you, like digital photos of your nephew. Your excel budget, your collection of mp3, your collection of bittorent download, etc. In my case i do backup about 8Gb of my photos but another collection is lost because i didn't manage to backup it....shame on me.
Secondly, if this unfortunate event didn't occured i'm sure i'm still stuck with all same software and would seek other good alternative. Youre kind of comfortable in your own world and don't bother to venture out. Because of this incident i've found another very good FREE firewall that i think deserved to be published here. Comodo Free Firewall is a good firewall and its free. Get it here.
Thirdly, keep all your proof of purchase receipt. One file for all your tech stuff will do. When something bad happen (like my hard disk) you can always claimed warranty.
Fourth, when something are made to break, it will break.... someday.
Till then have a good day.
