i wake up just now to a shocking news, delivered by my sister. My aunt passed away in Kota Bharu. Before that i hear the phone ringing i think at 3am or something and then again at 4 something, i looked at the screen and the caller ID show K Ann name. The first thought in my mind was she accidentally push the call button and so did the phone rings. I didn't pick up. Never ever in my conscious state of my mind, would i think about this sudden demise.
My aunt, Che Yah looks fine during our last Hari Raya gathering. She even cooked my fav dished, kuzi ayam. She was really a good cook. I'm still suprised and tried to accept this bitter truth, i couldn't imagine how was the feelings of her 4 children; Kak Azi, Kak Ann, Jaja and Yayang.
My sympathy is with them.
I'm taking a flight back home this morning. Semoga Allah mencucuri rahmat ke atas rohnya dan ditempatkan bersama orang2 yg beriman dan beramal soleh.

Remember the good ol' days - Part 2
Yes, yesterday i went to butterfingers gigs at KL Jam Asia, Sri Hartamas. The gigs was entitled celebrating 1.2 milligrams 10th anniversary. was there with 3 of my frens, ah send, pok nik and jeli. there i met with hussein, tungkai and, taki and fiance.
KL Jam Asia is located at 2nd row of shop lots besides Sri Hartamas Fire Dpt HQ. It was kinda of small cafe at 2nd floor, not quite a 'comfortable' place to held such a 'big' reunion.
when i arrived i see a number of crowd outside there. most of the faces looks like there are in mid 20' and above. although to my suprised i can see a fairly young 'kids' with their My Chemical Romance-emo/gothic hairstyle among the crowd. the first thing coming out of my mind was "hey kids you don't belongs here, this is grunge thing, you were sitting for your UPSR when we were rocking". hahhaha... there were some familiar faces that i've seen in the early days of gigs. You guys still rawking kewll.

so what is all the fuss about this event. i don't know about others, but for me its because of 1.2 milligrams album itself. let say if they held gigs for 'Selamat Tinggal Dunia' album or 'Malayneum', i might not be as excited as i was. 1.2 was the single most successful, repectful, major label released malaysian grunge album. The year was 1996 the same year i took my SPM. I still remember how did i knew butterfingers, it was my juniors in MRSM (can't remember his name). He gave me his butter cassette and told me "Nirvana Malaysia". i put the casette in my Walkman and yes they sounds like Nirvana, but hey all the bands in late 90's play this seattle sounds (grunge). all the kids (yes i was kid back then) are into this grunge thiggy. Those who were born between mid 70's to mid 80's would certainly love this music. They were teenager in 1996, full with teenage angst, rebellious and one of the music dose suitable for them is buttermusic. OAG was in the scene prior to butter, but they suddenly lost their fan base because they 'sold out' in other word they no longer 'underground'. well butter also did they same, they sign with major label (EMI) but i guess their commitment to the fans and underground scene, makes them more appealing than OAG.
ok back to the gigs. once in the cafe, we settle down besides the sound mixer machine. there was this guy with his dreadlock hair manning that machine, which later i found out he was Batak from 18SGG, another big name in underground music. and then there is another guy who looks like he just wake up from bed coming in with his mixer and ibook. plugin those two hardware on the sound machine. later kadak and the drummer (i'm not sure who he was, i don't think he's kalai) arrived. the crowd begins to give huge hurrah to em'. energy begins to built up. later arrived emmett, with another huge cheer.
emmett start rawking with 10db, a high pace songs which the crowd begins to mosh hysterically like they've been holding up this energy for the past 10 years; a guy even start to stage dive. next here comes naive sick chasm, by now the crowd begin to sing a long. emmett voices was submerged and replaced by this loyal crowd who really missed the good ol' days. i'm not sure whether butter played all their 1.2 milli songs, but those that i recalled was nicc o tyne, wet blanket, ugly, me, sober (my all time fav) and chrome (another all time fav). the end their show with, as usual, vio-pipe.
later butter had a photo session cum fan's conferences. one person asked emmett, whether their new album will feature the grunge/seattle sounds, like 1.2 milligrams and emmett's answer struck me deep inside. he said something like this, grunge is like one excite part of your life. it was fun. now they have move on to their new sounds. I concur with him, it was an excite part of my life, thats why i was there, to revive that excitement, and i did. life goes on, there much more things in life than grunge, but alas i'm happy to be part of it.

my new toy.... p990-The Ultimate Phone
I got my P990 3 days ago, after Nik return from Singapore. According to Nik its gonna burn a hole in my pocket in the sum of RM2400...ouchhh!
I bought this phone because i'm considering to jump into 3G bandwagon for my broadband access, at the point when i decided, TMNET streamyx access is still not available at my house. I only been told by my sis that there was streamyx bills on Wed, when Nik already bought the phone. Else i might not have bought this beauty with brains.
Its funny thinking about it, suddenly both of your wish come true, is it blessing in disguise or curse in disguise. Anyway, i'm happy toying with this phone, although it is still bugs prone, but hey i'm used to Windows...hahhaha.
I've update the firmware and now its running on:
-Phone: R7A001
-Bluetooth: R4F01
-Organizer: R3B01
-CDA: R3B01
so far its running 'ok', with some minor crashed. It is recommended you install app Swiss Manager to better managed its memory.
I've also Master Reset it (with hoping to kill one of the bugs) but it end, up i lost the best preinstall game, Vijay Singh Golf Pro 2005. Please note i did Backup the phone (i'm not that clumsy), but when i've restore it, its not there anymore....... :(.
Wrote complaint note to Sonyericsson, after searching software on the net with no avail. I hope they can do something about it.
I'll write more about this hunny, next time!!

I'm now broadband user...yippie
I'm happy chap today, today i'm blogging in style-with-broadband. Yup i just got my streamyx access after 2 years of bitter fight with the ISP. It was a sweet victory indeed, an anti climax as well.
In my story I'm not OK , i've poured my dissatisfaction with what i consider a huge shame to TMNet. My housing areas which is within city center, a few km radius from Celcom HQ, UTM KL and Mindef; was a black spot, no broadband connection. So unacceptable. The crusade start after i submit my second applications.
I've contacted www.cfm.org.my , the complaint dpt under MCMC (Malaysia Communication and Multimedia Commission) to voice grievances. I'm sceptical that something gonna happen, but as you witness today after 1 years it did happen. Its not a smooth sailing though. I have to credit success to one of TM Manager Pn Hasnah, who handle my case personally. She even goes extra miles by giving her mobile phone no and email to contact her. For the past 6 months we are constantly communicate with each other. Hasnah thanks...!! I'll send you a complimentary email.
Yehaa.... gonna 'qadha' what i've missed from the net..
Let see the facts n figures of this new connection:

Time is running out
i heard about this band like two years ago from Jen, but didn't pay much attention and/or initiative to dig into their musics. Been busy (lame excuse that i always give), but today when i found Muse cd on my cousin's car, i didn't have any excuse NOT to listen to it. So i borrowed it and now i'm playing it on my Winamp.
their strong and emotional vocal, heavy guitar, rhythmatic drums and percussion (piano i believed) make their sounds good to my ear. their brit-pop influenced can be traced clearly in their sounds, though they still retain much of their own personality. the lyrics which is very deep and meaningful is a soup-of-the day for me. its been a long time since the heyday of grunge i would sit down, smoked, listen to the music while reading the lyrics, the exception would be on My Chemical Romances; which i would say a bloody good band also.
ok, the cd (that i loaned from my cousin) got some scratches on it, now, when it play track 5 onwards the sounds start to distort. I have removed the CD from the PC but guess what, the sounds still coming out from the speakers... and it has been more than 5 mins. Holy shit, this CD is spooky.....hahahhaha. The only logical reasons, speaking from IT Expert perspectives is the data (read Muse songs) is stored on RAM, so when i removed the cd the data is still in my pc and so it still would be able to feed it to the application then to the speaker.
Now the tricky part, i also have quit Winamped and killed their process, and still the sounds is coming out!!!
Below is the lyric from one of their fav singles Time is Running Out. I really love this songs, reading their lyrics make it even better. It is like a blueprint of the dilemma that i'm having now. So folks, enjoy the lyric below (If you have the mp3, play it out loud!!)

Muse-Time is Running Out
------------------------
I think I'm drowning
asphyxiated
I wanna break this spell
that you've created
you're something beautiful
a contradiction
I wanna play the game
I want the friction
you will be the death of me
you will be the death of me
bury it
I won't let you bury it
I won't let you smother it
I won't let you murder it
our time is running out
our time is running out
you can't push it underground
you can't stop it screaming out
I wanted freedom
bound and restricted
I tried to give you up
but I'm addicted
now that you know
I'm trapped sense of elation
you'd never dream of
breaking this fixation
you will squeeze the life out of me
bury it
I won't let you bury it
I won't let you smother it
I won't let you murder it
our time is running out
our time is running out
you can't push it underground
you can't stop it screaming out
how did it come to this?
ooooohh yeah yeah yeah
ooooohh yeah yeah yeah
ooooohh yeah yeah yeahhhh
you will suck the life out of me
bury it
I won't let you bury it
I won't let you smother it
I won't let you murder it
our time is running out
our time is running out
you can't push it underground
you can't stop it screaming out

Fickle
i got a new word tonight...thanks to the online dictionary.
Fickle: Characterized by erratic changeableness or instability, especially with regard to affections or attachments; capricious.
well this word come from one of forum where the users are responding to the questions; What do women want?
some of the comments (some are funny...hahha):
Now, think about it, what a slacker, kampung boy, laid back, un-metrosexual, Paralipophobia , geek, and kelantanese have to offer to her.
p.s: dah ngantuk, time for bed....damn TGIF tomorrow.

some of the comments (some are funny...hahha):
- Women don't even know what they want....why bother even asking?
- I always thought that all the little lady wanted was to see her reflection in the bottom of a well cleaned and polished pan. Must've been wrong for years.
- What do women want? Shoes and handbags simple!
- If I ask my girlfriend what she wants I get shouted at for not knowing.<---kakkaka
- It is not that woomen don't know what they want. It's that they lie about what they want. They always leave off important information they assume "everyone" knows.
- Actually, women do know what they want and they can always tell you (though they may refuse to tell you). Unfortunately, what they want right now is not what they wanted yesterday and won't be what they want this afternoon.
- Amen brother... I believe the word is FICKLE.
- "You should already know"
asking is a trap <------ :) - My girlfriend told me she liked shiny things. I bought her a mop and said "Here you go baby, spoil yourself."<---------huhuhu
- There's only one thing women want:
EVERYTHING!!!
Now, think about it, what a slacker, kampung boy, laid back, un-metrosexual, Paralipophobia , geek, and kelantanese have to offer to her.
p.s: dah ngantuk, time for bed....damn TGIF tomorrow.
I have to make Amend
Amend:
I have to make Amend...I must!!!
I've done something wrong according to Honor Among Men code sometimes this year. Its a long story and kind of complex, but somehow things that happening tonight open up an opportunity to me to correct things, or simply to make Amend.
p/s: I shall planned better this time. Not to screwed up again........but wait wait wait..... the decision is not finalize yet, had to think thoroughly (because my habit of like to 'think', she labelled me as 'complicated'??) first.
1. To change for the better; improve:
2. To remove the faults or errors in; correctI have to make Amend...I must!!!

Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD)
I had a BSOD just now, about 2:05AM. I never had this 'cursed' for quite a long time. It come at most ironic moment of my life.
Well i was browsing this friendsta's frienster page, when Zone Alarm msg pop up and i click one of the button, then "Walla..." the cursed of Bill Gates come out.
That frienster page is something...gonna tell you bout it next time.
post Raya
Raya this year is a history of itself, at least for me. On the 2nd day of it i was already in KL!!
First time ever in mylife i did that; and its not gonna be the last (let say if i'm married with KL gals). The reason i'm back to KL so soon got to do with something happening with my family in KB.
There is not many ppl at my home (btw, its only 4 of us 'adik beradik')this year; my bro didn't come back, his wife is heavily pregnant; my younger sis is in Yogjakarta pursuing Medicine, my parent is flying over to Yogja to visit her on first day of Raya and my sis simply don't want to go back because ....(i don't know her real reason but i think simply 'malas').
So it was like, i'm the only one with the high spirit to return to my beloved home (read Kelantan). First of all i did miss my mum and dad; and this like the 'official' ocassion where you seek their forgiveness. No, i'm not saying you cannot seek forvigeness on other day, but Raya is the special day.
Then, i don't only miss my family, i have all this bunch of friends that i miss a lot. They are from my alma matter; SRK Padang Garong II, SMIP, SIC, MRSM PC, MCC and UTP. We only get touch with each other at this day. Though many of us stay in KL, but again we are so distant.
I also miss all the kelantan food, various 'excotic' kueh are ready-made for breakfast and during raya. Where in Malaysia can you eat 'Taik Itik'?? I managed to get hold on 2 packet of 'Air Tuak' on the last few days of fasting. It seems that i't getting harder to get this special drink. I guess many of the ol Tuak collector have retired and their next of kin is not interested to resume this work. It was like a rare items now days and with all KL folks rushing back to kelantan the demand reach its highest point.
I can stay back at KB alone, but feasibility wise its not a good idea. Can't imagine if all relatives and friends come 'attacking' my house, 'nak angkat apa?'. So there i was on 2 day of raya, travelling from KB-KL in a Satria Neo.
